I found Dr Joideep Phadnis very approachable, easy to talk to, he was very knowledgeable in his field of expertise. Great service, my arm is so much better now following my operation in December.

I was referred to Mr Phadnis for a rotator cuff repair in my right shoulder, complicated by mild arthritis, the latter; normal however for a person of my age. Mr Phadnis took great care in taking a medical history, relating to this problem and undertook a thorough examination of my shoulder, before openly discussing the options available for treatment. He listened to me, and my concerns, was very open when discussing the options available and offered constructive solutions, in a professional and engaging manner,. Eventually after being referred for MRI, surgical intervention was the most suitable solution, which was carried out within a short timescale. Prior to the operation Mr Phadnis clearly explained the procedure, any risks and potential outcomes, allaying my concerns. The quality of clinical intervention was excellent, no significant scarring and the shoulder is much more comfortable, no pain with functionality returning as I attend physiotherapy. Post operatively I attended an Outpatient appointment, where a clear explanation of the operation, complete with images showing what was done. Overall I am very satisfied with the outcome of the procedure, attention to detail at all stages and excellent patient manner Mr Phadnis demonstrated in all of my consultations. I would highly recommend Mr Phdanis and trust his clinical judgement implicitly.

I must have been incredibly lucky, to be treated by such a wonderful doctor. I broke both of my elbows, right one battered pretty badly and the left elbow had the "terrible triad" and looked like it would require a radial head replaced with a metal one. You can imagine my happiness and tears of joy (through pain) when I found out after surgery, that I still have my bony radial head, when I was told multiple times before surgery that I will most likely have a metal one. My bones healed well and the initial surgery was then followed by two additional surgeries (one for each elbow) at Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath , to remove screws and scar tissue and improve mobility. Yesterday we finally said our goodbyes and my treatment is over after 19 months. Doctor Phadnis was always very kind, helpful and patient to explain everything and respond to any queries or doubts that I had. My arms are fully functional. I can do exercises, daily tasks, DIY, anything. I simply can't thank Doctor Phadnis enough.

I can't speak highly enough of Mr Joideep Phadnis and how he has helped me to achieve a successful outcome following elbow surgery. I travelled from further afield my local area to see Mr Phadnis because of his expertise and I have not been disappointed. The surgery that he performed on my elbow has exceeded my expectations in my recovery of only 3 months; his advice on aftercare and recovery has been invaluable. I completely trust him as he is extremely approachable and makes everything very easy to understand, giving me the time to discuss anything I needed clarifying. One point that makes him stand out for me is his gentle, caring nature and ability to put me at ease and really listen to me - I never felt rushed and felt able to ask any questions. I'm so pleased Joideep Phadnis was my surgeon, I'm don't think I could have achieved a better outcome.

Mr. Phadnis took the time to listen and then to investigate beyond the reasons given on the original referral. The result was astoundingly successful surgery on the elbow of my dominant arm (not originally referred but problematic for years) which I can now straighten and use normally; minimal incisions and therefore minimal scarring. Post-op some discomfort but no real pain. Eight months later he operated on the elbow originally referred and removed two deep lipomas which were impinging on the median nerve. Once more, a very successful procedure. I had no post-op pain and very quickly had full use of my other arm. At each consultation Mr. Phadnis was confident, calm and appropriately informative including showing and discussing imaging results. At one point I asked for an extra consultation as questions had arisen for me pre-surgery. A prompt appointment was made and my questions - borne of anxiety - were discussed and I was reassured. If any more probs arise with my arms I should be glad to see Mr. Phadnis again. Thank-you.
